'Pro-Life Month' Activities held The
CBCP Episcopal Commission on Family and Life (ECFL), joined the Pro-Life Philippines Foundation in the month-long celebration of Pro-Life Month this February.The ECFL, Pro-Life
Foundation and the Defensores Fidei Foundation sponsored the visit and lecture series in MAnila of Dr. Bernard Nathanson, a former abortionist and now leading pro-life activist. Last
February 16, Dr. Nathanson addressed the participants of the 10th National Convention of Pro-Life Philippines on the theme "Unite for Life". The convention was held on February 16-17
at the St. Paul's College Auditorium on Pedro Gil Street, Malate, Manila. On the 17th, the ECFL, through the Defensors Fidei Foundation, hosted a half-day symposium, featuring a
lecture by Dr. Nathanson on "Human Life Issues in Emerging Reproductive Technologies". The symposium was held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, at the same venue, was open to the public and attended
primarily by health care professionals (including residents, interns and nurses) and other pro-life groups. Other pro-life activities for the moth included a Human Life Chain (roving
picket in front of an abortion facility in Pasay City) last February 9, a fund raising campaign "Piso Ko, Buhay Mo! Piso-Piso Para sa Buhay!", conducted among students, and the

Concert, held last February 23, 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the St. Paul College, Manila, which highlighted the talents of the youths through a night of music. Performing guests included Jamie Rivera, Ogie Alcasid, Cocoy Laurel, Gerard Sison, Jeanne Young, Fr. Carlo Magno and Fr. Ed Hontiveros.
